FAQ

What makes LLWC wax different from others?

I use a proprietary blend of wax, that includes a mix of soy and paraffin that I have perfected over the last few years, to allow the best scent throw possible. Every vendor uses different wax, and a lot of store bought wax, is pure paraffin.

What does your wax melts contain?

The only things that you will ever find in my wax are going to be wax, fragrance oil or essential oil, and to color them its either candle dye chips OR mica pigment. All of these are skin safe.

What type of fragrance oils do you use?

ALL of the oils that I use are phthalate free. Phthalates are toxic. I wont ever use an oil that contains them. There haven’t been enough studies to prove their level of toxicity, so I just play it safe, and stay away from them all.

How much of your wax do I melt at a time?

This is honestly a personal preference. I have some customers that cut each melt in chunks and melt a chunk at a time, and I have some that just melt it all. It truly is a matter of preference. There is no right or wrong answer for this.

I need to change my wax, what is the best method?

There are several ways, my recommendation is find which one you like best!

  • Cotton Balls - just toss a few cotton balls in your warmer dish until they soak up the wax, and use one more to wipe it out.
  • Turn off your warmer, allow wax to harden, pop in the freezer for about 10 minutes and the wax should pop out. (The only type of dish I have found that this doesn’t work for, for me anyway, are the glass ones)
  • Ribbons - turn your warmer off, lay a piece of ribbon in your wax pool, once it hardens, use the ribbon as a tab to pull your wax out.
  • Hot Pour - Pouring your wax while still melted into the trash, or other containers.

What type of warmer works best?

There are soo many types, its truly what you find works best for you. I am a big fan of at least 25 watt bulbs. I enjoy Hot Plate styles, BUT sometimes those get too hot and burn up the wax, so the fragrance dies in hours, when it should be days.

What type of bulb works best?

If you have a night light style 15 watt. If you have a regular plug in kind, I recommend 25 watts!

I spilled hot wax, HELP!

Use paper towels,(blue shop towels work the BEST) soak up the wax by patting, don’t rub or push, you will likely stain your carpet. If you find you still have wax in your carpet. Grab an iron, or a hair dryer, lay paper towels over the wax, and using the iron/dryer heat up the wax so it melts into your paper towel. Sometimes it takes a few tries BUT this is the only way I have ever found that actually works.

What is the best way to get my wax to last the longest?

If you tend to leave your warmers on 24/7, I recommend shutting them off a few times a day, and then turning them back on. I have found that letting my wax melt, allowing the scent to fill the room, and then shutting my warmers back off, allows for them to last even longer.

How long does each melt last?

This will always vary, for a lot of reasons. All oils are different, some are stronger than others, so some melts will naturally last longer and/or be stronger. Most of my customers get a few days minimum out of each melt/chunk. I have a few customers that have their melts last over a week. This is tricky, because our houses are different sizes, our noses are all different, and we don’t all use the same warmers. BUT you should get at least a few days minimum.

What is the best way to store my wax melts?

You can store them however you want to! My biggest suggestion, is if you are going to use bags for melts that aren’t in cups or clamshells, such as the shapes that came to you in bags, use polypropylene bags. Any other type of bag will suck the fragrance out of the wax. So, ziplock bags, etc.. those aren’t the ones to use. If you go to any store, and in the baking aisle, they have Cello bags, those are safe!

I bought your scrubs, what do I do now?

I love using my scrubs for shaving my legs. I have really sensitive skin, and this works really well for me. Although, you can use it for that, or you can use it just to exfoliate your skin a few times a week, or daily, thats up to you! You can use it in place of regular body wash. You can even use it on your face. However, IF you have a sensitivity to fragrances, always make sure to test it first.

What is your scrub made out of?

I use a custom soap base, that is whipped, and then we add sugar for exfoliating, moisturizing butter and oils, fragrance oil, and mica pigment!

Where can I find a list of ingredients?

You can find ALL product ingredients HERE

What if I’m allergic to any of the things you add?

Always feel free to message the business, when possible I’m always happy to accommodate allergies! I will always be honest if I don’t think something will work for your skin.

Can I request scrub fragrances?

Always! Just either make a post in the group, or message our business page!

I bought some lotion. Now what?

Lather it on! Enjoy!

What is the best lotion for extremely dry skin?

Rescue Winter Skin lotion for sure. You can definitely try Hybrid dish hands as well, but for really dry skin, I always recommend Rescue first! Rescue is fragrance free!

What do you recommend for moderately dry skin?

Rescue, Hybrid or just our Winter Skin Lotion should do you well!

What is the difference between regular Winter Skin Lotion, and Night Time Formula?

Night Time has more oils in it to moisturize. I don’t like to use these oils in the regular formula, since they can leave your skin a bit oily, until it soaks into your skin.

What can your Everything Balm be used for?
